Writing a blog is a little like tending a garden. The landscape must first be planned to make best use of the natural elements (climate, light, water, soil). Then elements are strategically placed to provide areas to sit and enjoy the flowers, listen to the gentle splash of a fountain or enjoy fresh-picked fruit and vegetables.

Then the work really begins, with the planting, nurturing, pruning and weeding that are the staple chores of any serious gardener. Sturdy tools should be used to tuck the seedlings in place.

Over the past three months, I have enjoyed the creative task of leading the redesign and launch of JGooder’s blog – Go Good! Together with the very talented Daina Reed, the JGooders team sat and brainstormed on the key elements we thought you would like to see in a blog devoted to Jewish social action, giving, volunteering and networking.

We launched Go Good! just last week, and are already seeing the seedlings sprout. Go Good! has already made it to the List of Change – which ranks the top 200 blogs from around the world making a difference through positive social change!

So please visit often and invite your friends. We welcome your comments, ideas and suggestions as we watch our garden grow!
